The world’s largest aircraft, the Airbus Beluga, awestruck passengers when it landed at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on Tuesday evening. This is the first appearance of the Super Transporter at Mumbai Airport.
The airport official who shared the photo of the aircraft tweeted, “Look who made the pit stop at @CSMIA_Official! The Airbus Beluga Super Transporter made its first appearance at #MumbaiAirport and wowed us all. Let us know what you think of the unique design.”
Many aviation enthusiasts also excitedly shared pictures of the Beluga on microblogging websites.
This aircraft, loaded with aircraft parts and super-large cargo, draws attention with its unique whale-like design. The average length of the carrier is 56 m, and the height is 17 m. It was sighted on Sunday at around 12:30 AM as we landed at Kolkata Airport for refueling and crew rest.
