OnePlus has all the eyes with its upcoming launch event on July 8, where it will unveil three major products: the OnePlus Nord 5, OnePlus Nord CE 5, and the latest OnePlus Buds 4. Known for offering feature-rich devices at competitive price points, OnePlus is positioning the new Nord lineup as its most powerful and camera-centric yet.
The OnePlus Nord 5 is the latest device that’s the most awaited with a confirmed Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, making it the first Nord phone to enter the flagship processor club. Let’s tell you that it features a 4nm process and paired with LPDDR5X RAM, the device is expected to deliver a significant boost in speed and efficiency. Other than that, the Nord CE 5 will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8350 Apex, also based on a 4nm node, with performance optimizations focused especially toward gaming and multitasking.
The Nord 5 comes with a dual 50MP camera setup on both ends. The rear includes the flagship-grade LYT-700 sensor, coming from the premium OnePlus 13 series, accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 116-degree field of view. The device will have 50MP JN5 front camera with autofocus, promising sharp, vibrant portraits. Meanwhile, the Nord CE 5 will offer a respectable camera setup too, featuring a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 16MP selfie camera.
As far as looks go, the Nord 5 has already made its appearance on e-commerce platforms, showcasing a familiar yet refined design language. With pre-bookings expected to open post-launch, sales of the Nord 5 begin July 9 at 12 PM IST, while the Nord CE 5 will hit stores on July 12. Pricing hasn’t been revealed yet, but rumours suggest the OnePlus Nord 5 will be priced between ₹30,000 and ₹35,000, while the Nord CE 5 is tipped to launch at around ₹25,000, making it a solid mid-range contender.
OnePlus is also set to launch the OnePlus Buds 4, aiming to complement the smartphones with a premium audio experience.
