Pakistan Former PM Imran Khan fears he may be killed, says come out and struggle

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s residence was visited by Enforcement officers for his arrest but his supporters opposed it and resisted them from reaching Imran Khan. The face off went on for hours and that too violently. His supporters threw stones on the police and the police fired tear gas, used water cannons on them.

The personals came to him so that he can be arrested and presented infront of the court for hearing. The case is linked with him misusing his office to sell state gifts, also famous as the “Toshakhana” (state gift depository) case.

Meanwhile, Imran took to Twitter and shared a video message asking everyone to come out and struggle for true freedom. He said in the video

“Police have come to catch me and take me to jail. They think that when Imran Khan goes to jail, people will go to sleep. You have to prove them wrong,” he said in the brief video, speaking in Urdu and invoking Pakistan’s origins in Islam.

“For your rights and true freedom, you have to come out and struggle…But if something happens to me, or if I am sent to jail or if they kill me, you have to prove that even without Imran Khan this nation will continue its struggle and show that you will never accept slavery under these thieves and the one person who has been making decisions for the country,” he said.
