India-US preparing to give a befitting reply to China, will together conduct maneuvers in Uttarakhand

At present, China is having a border dispute with India, so there is tension with Taiwan regarding the hegemony. In such a situation, the army of India and America has decided to conduct maneuvers in Uttarakhand. Amidst the rapidly changing regional security scenario due to China, the Indian and US forces will exercise for two weeks in October in Auli, Uttarakhand.

Exercise will be conducted in Auli, Uttarakhand from 14th to 31st October

Sources in the defense and military establishment said that the 18th exercise at Auli in Uttarakhand will run from October 14 to 31. The last exercise was held in Alaska, USA in October last year. Sources said that the purpose of this exercise is to increase understanding, cooperation and inter-operability between the armies of India and America. This exercise is being organized in the backdrop of India’s border dispute with China in eastern Ladakh. India-US defense ties have been deepening for the past few years. In June 2016, the US declared India as a major defense partner.

Why is this Indo-US exercise important

According to media reports, this exercise between the Indo-US Army, being organized in Auli, Uttarakhand, is also important because in September last year in the Barahoti area of Uttarakhand, Chinese soldiers were inside the Indian border for about 5 km. had entered. However, within a few hours the Chinese soldiers were driven back. It is said that there is such a pasture in Barahoti, about which there is a dispute between the two countries. This pasture is spread over an area of 60 square kilometers.

China threatens retaliation after Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan

Following the successful visit of US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taipei, China said it would take “strong and effective retaliatory measures against the US and Taiwan for violating the one-China policy”. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said in the media briefing that we will do what we have said. Please have some patience. Chunying is also China’s assistant foreign minister.

China considers Taiwan as its part

China has been saying that Taiwan is a part of it and one day it will be reunited with the mainland. Beijing has not ruled out the possibility of using force to reunite the self-governing island with the mainland.
