An Indian student at City University of London unfurled the Karnataka flag at a rally while receiving his degree. A video of him hoisting the national flag on stage is currently going viral on the Internet.
Adish R Wali, Master of Business Administration at the university, shared a video of his degree, saying, “I graduated with a Master of Business Administration from City University of London – Bayes Business School (Cass). It was a proud moment as we unfurled the Karnataka state flag at the ceremony in London, England.”
The video, which hit the internet, is garnering enthusiastic responses from Twitter users. Many people paid tribute to Adish’s graduation ceremony and paid tribute to his love for his hometown.
The flag of Karnataka has recently made headlines for several reasons. In December, a student was assaulted in Belagavi for raising the Karnataka flag at a university festival. In the video, a group of students were seen dancing to DJ music inside the preparatory college and within seconds a student was seen bringing a Karnataka flag and hoisting it in the crowd. Several students immediately hit the flag-bearer. The video went viral on the internet and many pro-Kannada groups called for an investigation into the matter.
