Reservation: Proposal will be sent to include 17 castes in the Scheduled Castes says Sanjay Nishad

Lucknow: For the past several days, work is being done to spread misconceptions on the issue of reservation of 17 castes and this work is being done by the opposition. This is to say of Dr. Sanjay Kumar Nishad, Minister of Uttar Pradesh Government and National President of Nishad Party.

He said this while addressing the journalists at his official residence in the capital today. He said that the people of the opposition are doing the work of spreading confusion through social media.

While Nishad, Kewat, Mallah, Bind, Kahar, Kashyap, Dhimar, Raikwar, Turaiha, Batham, Bhar, Rajbhar, Dhivar, Prajapati, Kumhar, Manjhi, Mahua are synonymous castes. Work is being done to bring these castes out of backward and include them in the Scheduled Castes. He said that the whole thing has been told about this after meeting Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday.

On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Social Welfare Ministry of Uttar Pradesh and the Nishad Party will prepare a draft and send it to the Central Government.

Minister Dr. Sanjay Kumar Nishad said that our matter is to be defined. But the earlier governments insisted on including these castes separately rather than defining them to complicate matters. He said that the state government does not have the right to take out any caste from backward and put it in scheduled. But still in the year 2005 Mulayam Singh Yadav and in the year 2016 Akhilesh Yadav issued the notification of reservation, through this the Samajwadi Party did the work of keeping the Nishad society in the dark.
