Counseling process started for admission in medical colleges of Uttar Pradesh
The results of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) have been released for admission to the post graduation courses in medicine.
After this, now the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET) of Uttar Pradesh has started the process of counseling for admission in the medical colleges of the state.
If you have qualified NEET PG then you can take part in the counseling conducted by DMET, the process of which will be explained below.
Important Dates from NEET PG Counseling in Uttar Pradesh
Online Registration: 26 to 28 September (2 PM)
Online Registration Fee: 26 to 28 September (2 PM)
Merit list to be published after registration is over: 28 or 29 September
Choice Filling and Locking: 29 September to 2 October (2 PM)
Release of result of selected candidates: October 3 to 4
Allotment letter and admission: October 5 to 8
What is the fee to be deposited during registration?
While registering for this NEET PG counseling to be held in Uttar Pradesh, the candidate of each category will have to deposit a fee of Rs 3,000.
Apart from this, security fee will also have to be deposited. However, this fee will be refunded later.
Explain that this fee for government medical and dental colleges will be Rs 30,000, while for private medical and Rs 1 lakh for dental colleges, it will be Rs 2 lakh.
What is the qualification required to participate in the counselling?
According to DGMET, a candidate participating in this counseling for admission in medical colleges of Uttar Pradesh must have passed MBBS from any medical college in the state other than Aligarh Muslim University or Banaras Hindu University.
Along with MBBS, the candidate must have completed one year compulsory internship by July 31, 2022.
Apart from this, candidates should have obtained permanent registration from Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council.

What was the cut-off for which category in NEET PG?
The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) had released the NEET PG results on June 1.
According to the board, the cut-off score for NEET PG for General and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) was 275 marks out of 800.
The cut-off for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC) and Divyang category stood at 245.
Similarly, the cut-off for unreserved and general category disabled candidates stood at 260.
How to register for NEET PG counseling?
To register, students first go to the official website www.upneet.gov.in.
After this, after going to the website in the second step, click on the registration link on the homepage.
Now after clicking on the link enter your login details.
After login fill your application form and pay the fees.
After paying the fee, lock the option and submit.
Lastly, keep a print out of the form for future use.
