Joe Biden’s granddaughter Naomi Biden married her boyfriend at the White House

Naomi Biden said “I do” to Peter Neal on the South Lawn of the White House on Saturday. It marks the first wedding in the presidential family since the Clinton era.

President Joe Biden’s eldest granddaughter and her boyfriend both wore Ralph Lauren for the occasion. Naomi wore a long-sleeved ivory gown with lace, while Neil wore a navy three-piece suit.

“It has been a joy to watch Naomi grow up, discover who she is, and carve out an amazing life for herself.

“Now we are filled with pride to see her choosing Peter as her husband and we are honored to welcome him into our family. I hope that each year will be a day full of love and laughter that deepens.”

According to the NYT, Naomi, 28, and Neil, 25, both work as attorneys in Washington, D.C., and live on the third floor of the White House. Naomi’s parents, Hunter Biden and Kathleen Bulle, also attended their wedding, a day before President Biden’s 80th birthday.

The outdoor ceremony was followed by a luncheon for close family and friends, and the celebration continued with an evening reception at the Executive Mansion.

The couple first announced their engagement in September 2021.

“Forever 🤍” Naomi captioned a photo of the couple announcing the big news at the time.

Neil, who is known to have interned for former presidents Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, shared the same snap of the Columbia Law School graduate flashing her diamond ring.

The couple later shared the exciting news that they had chosen the venue earlier this year.

“Finally we’ve figured out where the ceremony will take place. And with the security guards’ reassurance and the dogs’ approval… we’ll get married on the South Lawn.” Naomi posted on Twitter in July.

“Peter and I are endlessly grateful to Nana and Pop for giving us the opportunity to have our wedding at the White House.” “We can’t wait for our commitment to each other and what lies ahead.”

According to the White House, the two were dating in 2018 in New York by mutual friends.

Naomi is the eldest of President Biden’s seven grandchildren, followed by her 22-year-old sister Finnegan and 21-year-old Maisie, whom Hunter lives with ex-wife Kathleen.

Hunter also has a child with an Arkansas woman named Lunden Alexis Roberts, born in 2018, and a 2-year-old son with wife Melissa Cohen.

The president’s late son, Beau, also had two children, Natalie and Robert, with his wife, Hallie.
