4 members of Indian-origin family abducted in California, 8-month-old baby is also among them

Los Angeles: Four members of an Indian-origin family, including an eight-month-old baby girl, were kidnapped in the US state of California. The police have warned that the suspect is armed and dangerous. A family from the Central Valley was kidnapped Monday in Merced County, California. Family members have identified eight-month-old Aruhi Dheri, her mother Jasleen Kaur (27), father Jasdeep Singh (36) and uncle Amandeep Singh (39).

Sheriff’s police have released two photos of a man believed to be the abductor. He identified the suspect as having a shaved head and wearing a hoodie (a cap attached to a T-shirt). An eight-month-old girl and her parents were kidnapped Monday evening by a man they believed to be armed and dangerous, authorities said. A relative of the family has also been kidnapped.
The sheriff’s office said no ransom has been requested so far. We need your help. We consider the suspect armed and dangerous. Sheriff Varnake said that the reason behind the incident is yet to be known. All we know is that he was kidnapped. He urged the public to contact the police if they know anything about the suspect. The incident was reported by sharing a Facebook post from the sheriff’s office.

Such an incident happened in 2019
Currently, the investigation into the incident is ongoing and the Sheriff has assured that any positive information will be provided as soon as possible. So far no contact with relatives of this family in India. In 2019, Indian-origin Teki Tushar Atre also went missing in a similar fashion. But a few hours later, his body was found in his girlfriend’s car. The incident involved the kidnapping of the owner of a digital marketing company from his home in California.
