Who is Jagdeep Dhankhar, who became the 14th Vice President of India

Jagdeep Dhankhar became the 14th Vice President of India after achieving a total of more than 500 votes where as the opposition Margaret Alva got less than 200 votes. Total of 725 MLAs had casted their vote including PM Modi, among which 528 votes were bagged by NDA Candidate Jagdeep Dhankhar. All the leaders have been congratulating them for the win.

Who is Jagdeep Dhankhar, the 14th Vice President of India

Early life– Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar was born on May 18, 1951 in Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu district, who later became a Lawyer by profession and entered politics in 1989. In 1989, he was elected to Lok Sabha after practicing being a lawyer at the level of both Rajasthan High Court and Supreme Court.

Political journey– Jagdeep Dhankhar primarily was a member of Janata Dal and Congress but in 2008 he joined BJP. In 2019, he became the Governor of West Bengal

Family– Jagdeep Dhankhar’s wife name is Sudesh Dhankhar and they have a daughter together.
