A special camp to connect Tangedco’s consumer details with Aadhaar at the Chintadripet section office.
Tamil Nadu Electricity Board — TNEB — Customers need to link their EB number to their Aadhaar card.
Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO), a subsidiary of TNEB Ltd, is running a special camp to help customers link Aadhaar to their consumer number. However, TNEB accounts can also be linked online.
Here’s how.
Step 1: Go to the official TNEB website. According to the website, Aadhaar’s association with service numbers is currently only for household, power loom, agricultural and cottage services.
Step 2: Enter your TANGEDCO service connection number. It must be entered in the form received by SMS or printed on the receipt.
Step 3: Generate an OTP to verify your mobile number.
STEP 4: VERIFY YOUR TANGEDCO ACCOUNT.
Step 5: Enter the tenant’s details.
STEP 6: Enter your Aadhaar number which should be linked to your TANGEDCO account.
Step 7: Enter your name according to your Aadhaar card.
Step 8: Upload your copy of Aadhaar. Aadhaar must be uploaded in JPG, JPEG or PDF format with a size of 500KB.
Step 9: Submit the form and download the confirmation.
