Spicejet flight passenger arrested for inappropriate behavior with a female flight attendant on board

Delhi-Hyderabad Absar Alam, a passenger accused of inappropriate behavior with a female flight attendant on board a SpiceJet flight, has been arrested after a complaint by SpiceJet security officers, Delhi police said on Tuesday.

Delhi Police said a case under Section 354A was also registered for the passenger.

This comes after SpiceJet on Monday reported ‘unruly and inappropriate’ behavior by passengers on a Delhi-Hyderabad SpiceJet flight at Delhi airport. Passengers and their passengers were disembarked and handed over to the airport’s security team.

“On 23 January 2023, a SpiceJet wet leased Corendon aircraft was scheduled to operate SG-8133 (Delhi – Hyderabad). While boarding from Delhi, a passenger behaved in a disorderly and inappropriate manner, harassing and disturbing the cabin crew. .” the airline said.

The airline added, “The flight attendant notified the PIC (pilot) and security personnel of the accident.”

Passenger Absar Alam, who resides in Delhi Jamia Nagar, was traveling to Hyderabad with her family. During takeoff, Alam misbehaved with one female flight attendant.

Over the past few months, we have seen several instances of violent behavior by passengers on board.

On 7 January, two foreigners were removed from a Go First flight from Goa to Mumbai for alleged inappropriate behavior with a female cabin attendant.

Air India banned a 34-year-old male from entering the country for four months after a drunken male passenger urinated on a 70-year-old female passenger on a flight from New York to Delhi.

In another case of an in-flight accident, two men aboard a Biman Bangladesh Boeing 777 aircraft got into a physical fight. In a video posted on the social media platform Twitter, a shirtless young man could be seen tussling with a passenger seated on the plane.
