RRR: Have you heard about the re-release of SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster film RRR? Starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan, the film was originally released in March 2022 and dispite after almost a year, it continues to captivate audiences worldwide. Recently, the film was re-released in the US in the world’s largest screening as part of promotion for the 2023 Oscars and it turned out to be a huge success. More than 1,600 tickets were sold out and fans once again lined up to see the film on the big screen.
The filmmakers shared images of the theater via social media and it was heartwarming to see the excitement from the fans. A special screening was prepared ahead of the 95th Academy Awards ceremony which is scheduled on March 12. Prior to the screening, director SS Rajamuli even gave a speech to the audience at the Ace Hotel.
RRR’s song “Naatu Naatu” has been nominated for Oscars 2023 under the Best Song category. Another exciting thing is that, Singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava will perform the song live on stage and fans will be proud of how far RRR has come.
For those unaware, RRR is a fictionalized movie of the lives of revolutionary freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, played by Ram Charan and Jr NTR respectively. The film features Bollywood actors like Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran and also features Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris in supporting roles.
