Message yourself on whatsapp feature confirmed! Meta finally rolled out this for everyone

We’ve all struggled to create chats on WhatsApp that store all our essential personal data and keep to ourselves. Well, WhatsApp has come to our rescue once again and improved the user experience.

Earlier this month, the company was spotted testing the feature. Now, the messaging app owned by Meta has finally rolled out this feature for everyone. It’s ‘send me a message’.

The company took to Twitter to announce the feature.

With the help of this feature, users can also share messages, photos, videos and audios with themselves within the app. This new feature also allows users to create notes and reminders.

WhatsApp’s Message Yourself feature is available to both iPhone and Android smartphone users. The company has confirmed that this feature will be rolling out to everyone in the coming weeks.

It is expected that users will have to wait a few days before this feature is available on their smartphones.

How does the Send Me a Message feature work?

You will need to update your app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to find this feature.

Once this is done, open the app and click Create New Chat. You can then see your number in Contacts.

Finally choose a number and start your message.

This feature is also available on desktop and web, and users can view it on any connected device.

Previously, to text themselves, users had to create a group, add other users to it, and later remove it, leaving only the default user in the group. This has been used as a private chat box by some people.

Another way was to search wa.me// on Google. Previously, the phone number followed, followed by other steps.

However, with new features, users no longer have to do that.
