Sudheer Anand, popularly known as Sudigali Sudheer among the film world, has made a name for herself with short comic appearances in a handful of popular Telugu films. He recently starred in a full-fledged public entertainer called Gaalodu. Gehna Sippy plays the female lead in a project directed and produced by Samskruthi Films’ Raja Sekar Reddy Pulicharla. The film was released to screens on November 18, 2022.
Produced on a tight budget, Gaalodu was a surprise hit at the box office, with an impressive footprint despite not having many recognizable faces. It will be the first OTT show in about 3 months of theatrical release. Leading OTT platform, aha, has acquired the streaming rights for starrer Sudigali Sudheer and will release the film on February 17th.
Sudheer, called Gaalodu in the village, plays an aimless waster in the film. He gets into an argument with the village chief’s son and accidentally kills him. He flees to Hyderabad and helps a woman lead in a conflict situation. Gaalodu a.k.a Sudheer falls in love with a girl tied up as a chauffeur in her house. However, the girl’s father is not happy with their relationship. What is the future of the couple?
Saptagiri, Shakalaka Shankar, Prudhvi, Satya Krishna and Ravi Reddy also essay important roles in the film written by Raja Sekar Reddy Pulicharla. Bheems Ceciroleo composed the same music for which C Ram Prasad shot the film. Narayana Rao Muppala is the Art Director for films edited by MSR. Bhargavi Reddy designed Gaalodu’s outfit.
Baba Bhaskar, Anish and Venkat Deep are the choreographers and Kasarla Shyam, Srinivas Teja, Sri Amith Raj Putla, Suresh Gangula, Srisri Ranga and others wrote the lyrics. Wingchoo Anji was the stunt director.
