Now Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant government will write to the Union Home Ministry requesting to hand over the case of death of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sonali Phogat to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Phogat, a BJP leader from Haryana’s Hisar, died in Goa last month and it is feared that he may have been murdered. Pramod Sawant told reporters in Panaji that the Goa Police has done a very good investigation into the matter and has got some clues as well. “Due to the demand of the people of Haryana and Sonali Phogat’s daughter, we have decided to write a letter to the Union Home Ministry requesting it to hand over the investigation of this case to the CBI,” he said. He said, I will personally write a letter to the Union Home Ministry. Goa Police had arrested five people in connection with the case, out of which two persons are associates of Phogat. The police have registered a case against both of them for murder.
Police recovered three diaries
Let us tell you that in this case one more person including his PA Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Singh have been arrested. According to India Today, Sonali’s nephew had earlier claimed that Sonali’s aide Sudhir Sangwan was eyeing Sonali’s property. Sudhir Sangwan also had Sonali’s secret locker and password. The electronic locker has now been sealed by the police after Sudhir failed to unlock it with the password. Police have also recovered three diaries containing details of BJP leaders and expenses.
Sonali Phogat’s death
Sonali Phogat, a former Tiktok star and contestant of reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss’, hailing from Hisar district of Haryana, died under suspicious circumstances in Goa on the night of 22-23 August. She had reached Goa with two of her male companions two days before her death. Goa Police has so far arrested five people in this connection. The police is continuously interrogating the people related to him.
