Ranjit Kumar Pal, a Nepalese expatriate living in Qatar, who won 23 million Dirhams in the Big Ticket Lottery Series 248 in Abu Dhabi, wants to try his luck further.
Pal won with ticket number 232936 purchased on January 16th. He has been living in Qatar’s capital for the past seven years, working for a currency exchange company. His father of two sons, ages 5 and 10, was very excited when he heard of this unexpected windfall from a Big Ticket representative.
“I am thrilled. I want to use this money for my family in Nepal.”
Pal has purchased Big Tickets with a group of 20 friends over the past 15 months and plans to continue doing so. He intends to continue to try his luck with prizes, gold and dream car awards,” he said.
Other prizes and dream car prizes were won by Indian nationals during the draw period. Vijesh Viswanathan (Dh1 million), Shibu Mathew (Dh100,000) and Ajith Ramachandrakaimal (Dh50,000) finished second, third and fourth while Suman Muthaiah Nadar Ragavan received an all-new Range Rover.
In the next draw, held on March 3, the lucky winner will receive 15 million Dirhams. 2nd place is Dh1 million, 3rd place is Dh100,000 and 4th place is Dh50,000.
Big Ticket customers will automatically be entered into the weekly electronic draw and can be one of 3 winners to win Dh100,000 each week.
