Special CBI judge Geetanjali Goyal issued a notice to Tejashwi Yadav. In this notice, the court has asked to answer the question why Tejashwi’s bail should not be cancelled. According to CBI sources, the petition was filed in connection with the IRCTC tender scam. Tejashwi Yadav has been on bail since 2018 in the IRCTC tender scam case. The CBI has already filed a chargesheet under sections 420, 120B and the Prevention of Corruption Act against Tejashwi Yadav and other accused in the case.
What can happen next?
In this situation, Tejashwi may be in a big crisis if accurate evidence and witnesses come forward in the court trial. Charges against Tejaswi if the case is found to be true. They can be jailed for up to seven years. The Delhi Patiala House Court had granted bail to Tejaswi and his mother Rabri Devi in this case.
