Under 19 World Cup played together
Ishan Kishan and Rishabh Pant played together for India in the U-19 World Cup. In the 2016 tournament held in Bangladesh, Ishan was the captain of Team India and Pant was the vice-captain. Both started the innings together for the team. Pant got a chance to make his debut for India after a year in 2017. But Ishaan had to wait till 2021. But now both of them have become the main players of the team.
Ishan Kishan’s First Class Record
Bihar’s Ishan Kishan plays domestic matches for Jharkhand. He has scored 2985 runs with the bat at an average of 38.76 in 48 first-class matches. He has scored 6 centuries and 16 fifties. Like Pant, Ishan also gets quick runs. His strike rate is 69. In the same season of the Ranji Trophy, Ishan played an innings of 132 runs against Kerala. He was also a member of the India A team.
Advantages of being left wing
KS Bharat’s record is almost the same. He is already part of the team. But there is no left-handed batsman in Team India’s top five in Tests. In such a situation Ishan Kishan has its advantage. He can also bat in any order. In such a situation, Ishan may get a chance to debut in the first Test against Australia.
