Award to Rajamouli
On Monday, team ‘RRR’ shared a video on its Twitter account, in which SS Rajamouli can be seen delivering his winning speech at the award ceremony in Los Angeles. Rajamouli said about his family
Receiving the honour, Rajamouli said in the video, “Of all the women in my life, my mother Rajnandani, who thought schooling was too much, encouraged me to read comics and story books, and she encouraged me to be creative. My sister-in-law Srivalli, who was like a mother to me, always encouraged me to be the best version of myself.”
My India is great – Rajamouli
The ‘Baahubali’ director spoke about his wife and daughters at the award ceremony. He said, ‘My wife Rama, she is the costume designer of my films but more than that she is the designer of my life. I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for her. For my daughters, she does nothing, just a smile to brighten my life.’
The story of RRR
Before signing off, the director said, ‘After all, my motherland, India, my India is great. Jai Hind. Thanks.’ ‘RRR’ won Critics’ Choice Awards for Best Foreign Film and Best Song. RRR is a fictional story based on the lives of two Telugu freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju and Kumaram Bheem. The roles were played by Ram Charan and Jr. NTR. The film grossed more than Rs 1200 crore worldwide. Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgan and Shriya Sharan have worked in the film.
