Criticism against Vijay’s shoes

Recently, Vijay Deverakonda was criticized on the internet for wearing sandals at the trailer launch event in Mumbai. According to a report in ITEMS, Vijay said that wearing slippers makes his life easier as he does not have to look for shoes to match his outfit. He said, ‘I know it’s a blockbuster (liger) with slippers and cross legs… I wear all kinds of things. I wear whatever the mood strikes me. See, I have 30 days to promote the film, and then every day I have to find shoes and clothes, which takes some time. So I bought a nice pair of sandals, which make my life easier…so, I’m doing what I love.’

Vijay has been a victim of trolls before

Composer James Vasanth also criticized Vijay’s choice of traditional attire at the music launch of ‘Warisu’. She wrote in the Facebook post that simplicity and fashion are two different things and should not be confused with each other.
