Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) president Jayadev Shah said that playing for Saurashtra would be good. Maybe he will play, but I don’t know much about it. According to reports, Jadeja resumed bowling and batting earlier this week as he nears the end of his rehabilitation at the NCA.
The left-handed batsman looks to be a key player in the Indian line-up at number five or six in the middle order, especially in Rishabh Pant’s absence. Also, his left-arm spin will come in handy in the four-match series with top off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.
The series will decide India’s second consecutive final appearance in the World Test Championship. Jadeja played a key role in the 2016–17 series against Australia, in which he was adjudged Player of the Series with 25 wickets and 127 runs, as India staged a comeback by recording a memorable win. Jadeja, who has taken 82 wickets in 19 Tests since 2017, has scored 898 runs at an average of 52.82, including two centuries and seven half-centuries.
