New Delhi: Delhi Police’s Crime Branch has arrested a man for allegedly leaking sensitive information related to the Finance Ministry to other countries. The authorities informed about this on Wednesday. Officials said that the suspect was identified as Sumit.
He informed that the accused was a contract employee and was working as a data entry operator in the Ministry of Finance. A case was registered against him under the Official Secrets Act on Tuesday, police said.
A senior police officer said the accused had passed on intelligence to other countries to exchange money. During the search, a mobile phone used to exchange confidential information related to the Ministry of Finance was seized.
