Yamaha Aerox 155 Monster Energy Moto GP Edition launched
Yamaha Motor India has launched the new 155 Monster Energy Moto GP Edition scooter in India. This scooter has been launched under the company’s ‘The Call of the Blue’ campaign.
It will be sold through the company’s premium Blue Square outlets in India.
The company has earlier launched its motorcycle YZF-R15 with this design, which is attracting a lot of buyers towards Yamaha.
Monster Energy graphics available in the scooter
The design of the new scooter is also somewhat similar to the company’s Yamaha Moto GP M1 motorcycle. The scooter has been given an all-black color scheme with Yamaha Moto GP branding.
The sporty front apron features the company’s iconic Monster Energy graphics, which are found on the Moto GP race models.
The scooter gets an LCD instrument cluster, all-LED setup and body-coloured 14-inch alloy wheels with Bluetooth connectivity.
The scooter gets a liquid-cooled engine
The company has given the YZF-RI5 bike engine in the 155 Monster Energy Moto GP Edition. For transmission, this motor is mated to a CVT gearbox.
The scooter is powered by a 155cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine. This engine generates 15bhp power and 13.9Nm peak torque.
According to the company, this scooter will give excellent performance with a strong engine and it has been made keeping in mind the customers of the Indian market.
Yamaha Moto GP Edition is available with Disc brake option
In order to protect the rider and provide better ride comfort on the roads, the company has given disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels along with single channel ABS in the scooter.
Apart from this, the scooter also gets 140mm wide rear tyres, LED headlight and taillight, Y-connect app with Bluetooth and 24.5 liters of seat storage.
Taking care of the suspension, telescopic front forks have been given at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear.
What is the price of Monster Energy Moto GP Edition?
Yamaha Aerox 155 Monster Energy Moto GP Edition has been launched in the Indian market with a starting price of Rs 1.41 lakh (ex-showroom). In this segment, the Aerox 155 Monster Energy Moto GP Edition competes with the premium scooter Aprilia SXR 160.
Let us tell you that Yamaha is going to bring its new YZF-R3 bike in the Indian market, which can be launched around Diwali.
The company is already selling this bike in the global market. There it has been launched with sporty look and digital instrument cluster.
Apart from this, Yamaha is also planning to bring back its most popular motorcycle of the nineties, the RX100 in India.
