New Kia Sonnet X-Line
South Korean automaker Kia Corporation has made a big mark in the Indian market in a short span of time. The reason for this achievement of Kia is SUVs like Seltos and Sonnet. Both these cars are among the bestselling SUVs in the country.
Kia is soon going to update the variant lineup of the Sonnet. Now an X-Line variant will be added on the lines of Seltos. The company has released a teaser about this.
Sonnet X-Line may come with dark exterior theme
The company can bring the X-Line variant of the Sonnet in an all black theme, which can be guessed by looking at the teaser.
The teaser shows the chess board in completely white color along with everything else to focus on the car.
Apart from all black, the new Kia Sonnet X-Line is likely to get an exclusive Graphite Black color paint with matte finish and a dark exterior theme.
What will be the changes in the design?
The basic design of this new variant of the Sonnet will be similar to the existing variant. However, some new styling elements and features may have been added to it.
The new design front grille will be given in this SUV with matte finish. New LED headlights can also be given in these with sculpted hood, chrome-lined grille, wider air dam.
It will also get new roof rails, blacked out aero-cut design and 16-inch alloy wheels.
What are the engine options in Sonnet?
The Kia Sonnet comes in a total of four engine options in India. First, it gets a 1.2-litre petrol engine, which generates 81.8bhp power and 115Nm torque. At the same time, the 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine generates 118bhp power and 172Nm peak torque in it.
On the other hand, the company also offers the option of two diesel engines, which come with 6-speed automatic and manual gearboxes.
The new X-Line will also come with the same engine.
How is the cabin of the Kia Sonnet?
The special thing about the Sonnet is that despite being a lower segment car, Kia has offered it with four airbags.
Talking about the features, it also gets features like Highline Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Measurement, Brake Assist, Hill Assist Control.
The X-Line variant will get features like ventilated front seats with dark cabin theme, auto climate control, sunroof, keyless entry, parking sensors and cruise control.
What will be its cost?
The ex-showroom price of the current base variant of the Kia Sonnet is Rs 7.15 lakh. At the same time, the price of its top spec variant is Rs 13.79 lakh. Its X-Line variant will cost a bit more than the top spec. It is going to launch very soon.
