Toyota Prius Hybrid will make its debut in the US market with its 6 variants in January 2023

Toyota previously unveiled a redesigned 2023 Prius hybrid to look sportier than ever. Now, the automaker plans to launch the new Prius in the US market next month, in January 2023. The new Toyota Prius hybrid has seen major updates in its design, hybrid powertrain and list of features it offers.

The latest Toyota Prius is based on the second-generation TNGA platform, which lowers the vehicle’s center of gravity and improves handling. The new platform is also more robust, allowing lower levels of NVH inside the cabin.

The new Prius Hybrid features LED lighting and 19-inch wheels up front, while MacPherson struts up front and a double wishbone suspension setup in the rear take care of the ride. The interior boasts ample space in what Toyota calls an ‘island structure’.

A large 12.3-inch infotainment system takes center stage with a range of connectivity options via smartphone connectivity, connected car technology and over-the-air updates. The Prius also has a digital instrument cluster right behind the steering wheel.

Additional options include a JBL sound system for audio. Other convenience features include a glass roof, heated seats, light warning system, Toyota Safety Sense, dynamic radar cruise control, pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane recognition, lane tracking assist, and a host of others. Safety features for the safety of occupants and others.

The hybrid powertrain is a fifth-generation system mated to a CVT transmission. The transmission sends power to either the front or all four wheels, with three driving modes available: Normal, Eco and Sport.
