The All New Maruti MPV to have features like ADAS and Sunroof, know details


Toyota Kirloskar Motor just few days ago unveiled the all-new Innova Hycross for the Indian market. Pricing will be announced in January 2023 while official bookings open. Maruti Suzuki will also launch a C-MPV in the 2022-23 fiscal year based on the new Toyota Innova Hycross. It will be the first rebadged Toyota product sold by Maruti Suzuki in India. As a premium product, the new Maruti MPV will be sold through the Nexa dealership network.

Several design changes are expected to be made on the new Maruti MPV. It may feature a differently designed grille, front bumper and headlamps. The rear profile may also have some unique elements. Similar to the Innova Hycross, Maruti Suzuki’s three-row MPV is based on a monocoque platform and comes with a front-wheel drive (FWD) system. The interior is expected to have a different color theme and the layout and features will be similar to that of the Innova Hycross.

Higher trims get Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) with features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert and automatic high beams. It will be the first Maruti Suzuki model to be offered with ADAS technology. The MPV will also feature a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a nine-speaker JBL sound system, dual-zone climate control, power driver’s seat with memory function, power-operated leg rests for second-row passengers, 360-degree cameras, and tire pressure monitoring. . system and Hill Hold Assist.

The new Maruti MPV’s powertrain system includes a 172bhp, 2.0L naturally aspirated petrol with Toyota’s next-generation powerful hybrid unit. The latter delivers combined output at 184bhp. Maruti Suzuki’s three-row MPV’s fuel economy figures are expected to be similar to the Toyota Innova Highcross, which produces 21.1 kmpl (strong hybrid).
