Tata’s new car is coming under the name Blackbird

The demand for SUVs has increased in the Indian market. Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta are having tremendous sales in this segment.

To compete with these vehicles, Tata Motors is working on a new mid-size SUV Blackbird. This will be a coupe version of the Nexon car and it can be launched in the coming few months.

According to the reports, the company will also launch it in ICE engine with electric powertrain.

How will the design of this car be?

The soon to come Blackbird model will be based on Nexon’s X1 platform and will be an attractive looking SUV.

According to the information, it has been given a new front fascia with Tata’s signature Humanity Line Fox Grille.

Unlike the current Nexon, this rendering coupe SUV will also get a split lighting setup. It will get sleek LED DRLs in the upper part, while new LED headlamps will be installed on the bumper in the lower part.

It is expected to first come in an all-electric variant, followed by an ICE variant.

Its engine will be with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine and it is likely to be launched next year.

At the same time, in the electric variant, it will get a 40 kWh battery pack, which is more powerful than the current Nexon. It will be capable of giving a range of 400 km in a single charge.

These features will be available in the cabin

The cabin of the Tata Blackbird will be similar to that of the existing Nexon. The Nexon Coupe version has been given a touch-only interface, as before, removing the physical buttons and knobs from the unit. There will also be a 7.0-inch touchscreen.

Explain that the early model had six buttons and two rotary knobs which were below the AC vent. No changes have been made to the rest of the cabin. It gets blue highlights, off-white upholstery and gloss black panels as before.

What will be the cost of this car?

The price and availability of this upcoming Tata vehicle in the Indian market will be informed at the time of its launch. However, it is being estimated that its price will start around Rs 10 to 15 lakhs.
