Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 launch time got leaked, know features of the upcoming bike

For now, the most awaited product at Royal Enfield is the upcoming Super Meteor 650. This is in development for quite some time, and over the years several test mules of cruisers have been found. Now there are rumors that Royal Enfield will reveal the Super Meteor 650 at RiderMania from November 18-20. According to sources, Royal Enfield has started training dealerships on the upcoming motorcycle and could launch the Super Meteor 650 in December or January. The price of the Super Meteor 650 will also be higher than the current 650 motorcycle.

The Super Meteor shares an engine with the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. This results in a 648cc, fuel-injected, air-cooled 4-stroke, parallel twin motor. The maximum power is 47 hp and the maximum torque is 52 Nm. It is mated to a six-speed transmission that offers slip and assist clutches. Royal Enfield will retune the engine to suit the characteristics of the cruiser. Even with the current tuning, the engine is very comfortable at three-digit speed and there is no vibration at all.

The chassis of the Super Meteor 650 is not the one found in the 650 Twins that it may be a hardened version of the chassis. I’m using it on a Meteor 350. Super Meteor 650 will be much heavier than the 650 twins. According to the source, the weight about 80kg more than the 650 Twins.

In fact, even from the outside, the Super Meteor 650 looks like an enhanced version of the Meteor 350. There is still a retro element in design and appearance. However, Royal Enfield decided to modernize the Super Meteor a bit. It comes with LED headlamps with an ‘R’ logo in the center, as seen on the SG650 concept.

Royal Enfield is developing accessories for the Super Meteor. There are also panniers, soft luggage, sump guards and some accessories for cosmetic upgrades. Tripper Navigation is also provided.
