China-based QJ Motor, which entered India last November, attended Auto Expo 2023 with two motorcycles in its portfolio. One of the more interesting bikes of these was the SRV 300 Modern Cruiser. This twin cylinder dumper is available in India for a whopping price of Rs 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Although on the expensive end of the spectrum, it is comparable to the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and Honda Hness CB350 in terms of body style and displacement.
The QJ SRV 300 is quite large and has an impressive displacement. Comprising the bodywork are chunky teardrop-shaped fuel tanks, chopped but wide rear fenders for the tail, and chunky tires. Adding to the visual bulk is a two-in-one bulbous exhaust canister. It has a scooped seat, forward-facing footrests and wide pull-back handlebars to provide cruise-oriented, relaxed ergonomics. Also, most of the components are finished in black, giving it a factory custom look.
Aside from the styling, the highlight of the SRV 300 is the engine, a 296cc, V-Twin, liquid-cooled motor that produces 30.3bhp at 9,000rpm and peak torque of 26Nm at 5,000rpm. This unit is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with wet clutch. It also has a 13.5 liter fuel tank and the bike has an empty weight of 164 kg. It rides on an inverted fork and a combination of 16-15-inch alloy wheels suspended by double springs, and the braking hardware consists of single discs at each end.
