Royal Enfield hosted the world premiere of the Super Meteor 650 at the 2022 EICMA show in Milan, Italy last month and then showcased it at the Rider Mania event last month. Pricing for the flagship cruiser will be announced sometime next month and is expected to carry a sticker tag of around Rs. 4 lakh for the highest spec variant.

Deliveries of the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 will more likely begin at the end of next month or in February 2023. The motorcycle has global importance for the Chennai-based brand and comes with a first for RE like 43mm Showa. -Sourced inverted front fork units, LED headlamps and Google-powered Tripper navigation system come standard.

The Super Meteor 650 draws power from the familiar 648cc parallel twin-cylinder engine, producing around 47bhp of peak power and 52Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Some of the other key highlights include front and rear disc brakes assisted by a dual-channel ABS system, comfortable front-set footpegs, and alloy and chrome finishes.

It is aimed at customers who want to own a highway cruiser with a highly sophisticated, high-torque engine complemented by comfortable ergonomics. The Super Meteor was often tested alongside a semi-production version of the SG650 concept that debuted at the 2021 EICMA show. We expect it to be released in late 2023 or early 2024.

Royal Enfield may introduce a single-seat bobber version of the next-generation Bullet 350 or Classic 350 before arrival. The recently released Hunter 350 has been well received by customers and with momentum RE may bring a whole new Bullet. The 350 is based on the J-series engine platform and will have a lot in common with the existing classics.

Another possibility is that Royal Enfield could launch the first model of its all-new 450cc lineup in the form of the Himalayan 450. Given the popularity of the adv space, we could see the Royal Enfield breaking into the scene alongside its KTM 390 Adv rival. It will boast a water-cooled engine capable of producing around 40bhp.
