After months of leaked images and teasers, Royal Enfield finally launched the new Hunter 350 in India last month. Available in three variants: Retro Factory, Metro Dapper, and Metro Rebel. The Retro Factory trim is priced at Rs. The Metro Dapper and Metro Rebel cost 1,49,900 rupees. 1,63,900 rupees each is 1,68,900.
The launch took place on August 7th, which means sales are less than a month away. Nevertheless, the Hunter 350 became Royal Enfield’s second best-selling product in August 2022. The Classic 350 continues to be the No 1 RE in August 2022.

Royal Enfield sold 18,197 units of the new Hunter 350 in August 2022. This was the domestic market. Exports also began with the export of 78 Hunter units last month. In comparison, RE’s best-selling Classic 350 sold 18,993 units in Korea.
The two REs, the Classic and the Hunter, together registered domestic sales of 37,190 units. The Classic immediately overtaken the Hunter by 796 cars in August 2022. RE sold 70,112 units last month. Almost 53% growth. Of these, about 63,000 were sold in the domestic market (up 61%) and about 7,000 were exported (up 6%).
The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is an Urban Scrambler located on RE’s J-series platform. It has a shorter wheelbase and uses 17-inch alloy wheels with 100/80 rubber at the front and 120/80 rubber at the rear. This lighter and more compact framework provides better agility, maneuverability and handling in urban road conditions. In terms of design, the new Hunter 350 Retro features halogen tail lamps, oval turn signals, and single-channel ABS with disc brakes on the front.
The Hunter Metro trim gets a duotone color scheme. It boasts round turn indicators, wide and long one-piece seats, LED tail lamps, an instrument cluster borrowed from the Meteor 350, a tripper screen, Bluetooth with smartphone connectivity and dual-channel ABS. It has 300mm and 270mm disc brakes at the front and rear, respectively, and black alloy wheels. Royal Enfield has also launched Genuine Motorcycle Accessories (GMA) in its Suburban and Urban ranges, offering LED lights, tail trim, seats, bar end mirrors and more.

Both variants get 150mm ground clearance and 800mm seat height, while the Hunter 350 Retro weighs 177kg, which is lighter than the Metro variant, which weighs 181kg. The Hunter 350 is available in seven additional color options: Rebel Blue, Rebel Red, Rebel Black, Dapper Gray, Dapper Ash and Factory Silver.
The RE Hunter 350 is powered by a 349cc air-cooled/oil-cooled single-cylinder J series engine that also powers the Meteor and Classic 350. The engine delivers 20.2 hp output at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm and comes with a speed transmission. The top speed is 114 km/h and fuel economy is 36.2 km/l. Despite the new Hunter’s many new era features, customers can also customize their bikes for a more personalized appeal through the Royal Enfield app.
