The Royal Enfield introduces bodypaint options inspired by the three terrains of the Himalayan, along with a number of upgrades. Adventure touring motorcycles now get shades of Glacier Blue, Sleet Black and Dune Brown in addition to the existing Gravel Grey, Pine Green and Granite Black. Shown at Rider Mania 2022, the Himalayan also features logos emblazoned on the grille and side panels, as well as a USB charging port.
The new Himalayan will be available for reservations and test drives from 24 November at all Royal Enfield stores in India. 2,15,900, former showroom, Chennai.
According to Royal Enfield, the three new Himalayan colors are inspired by the topography, vastness and grandeur of the Himalayas. Glacier Blue is inspired by glacial lakes, while Dune Brown represents the Himalayan desert of Hunder, located in Ladakh’s Nubra Valley. The sleet pattern is back, but with a new version called Sleet Black.
Since its initial release in 2016, the Himalayan has made a very strong presence among avid bikers and riders looking for a capable adventure motorcycle.
Commenting on the new color launch, Royal Enfield CEO B Govindarajan said the Royal Enfield Himalayan was developed based on experience of mountain riding and traversing the most challenging terrain. The Himalayan is a simple, versatile and go-anywhere motorcycle that claims to have created a new segment of accessible adventure travel for riders around the world.
Royal Enfield’s lineup includes the recently launched Hunter 350, Classic 350, Meteor 350 Cruiser, 650 parallel twin motorcycles including the Interceptor and Continental GT, the Himalayan Adventure Tourer and the Scram 411 ADV crossover, and the Bullet 350.
