Royal Enfield 450cc Roadster spotted! Know features

It’s no secret that Royal Enfield is working on several motorcycles ranging in capacity from 350cc to 650cc. The company is also preparing a new 450cc engine platform that will be used to develop five new bikes, including the new Himalayan 450. This time the new Royal Enfield 450cc roadster was caught testing on foreign soil.

The new Royal Enfield 450cc motorcycle is equipped with a Neo Retro Roadster and features an upright riding position for the rider and a slightly rear mounted footrest. The motorcycle gets a swooping round tank that appears to be a large one-piece seat. Comes with LED lighting system including LED headlight setup, LED turn signals and LED taillights. Turn signals are shared with the Himalayan 450.

The new Royal Enfield 450cc naked motorcycle comes with an all-new water-cooled engine that will be mated to an all-new chassis. The exhaust system with blunt end cans looks identical to that offered on the Hunter 350. This motorcycle comes with a monoshock rear suspension unit instead of the Hunter 350’s twin shock absorbers. The new RE 450cc Roadster features traditional telescopic front forks. instead of USD on the newly introduced Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650.

The new motorcycle rides on uniquely styled cast alloy rims and is wrapped in CEAT tires. The new 450cc naked bike comes with front and rear disc brakes along with a dual channel Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS). The Spotted model has several luggage options, such as a rear base plate and saddle stays on both sides. This suggests that Royal Enfield will offer a range of accessories as well when this bike launches.

It will be some time before the new Royal Enfield 450cc roadster motorcycle is officially introduced to our market. In fact, the defiled model appears to be an early prototype, with the instrument console missing and wiring exposed.
