Mumbai-based PMV Electric today launched India’s first micro EV to promote sustainable and green mobility in India. The company wants to herald a new type of vehicle called the Personal Mobility Vehicle. PMV Electric’s Eas-E 2-seater EV is the solution presented by the company. The Eas-E EV is a tiny car that can carry two passengers and has an overall size of 36 square feet, and PMV claims that such a solution can help reduce traffic in densely populated cities.

Not only is the Eas-E smart in its form, but it also offers several smart features, such as remote parking assist, remote horn, home-following lights and regenerative braking. The EV is also capable of OTA updates and has convenience features such as cruise control and an electric ORVM. PMV’s Eas-E Connect app can also be used to remote park the EV in tight parking spaces, and there’s also a pit-free mode that lets you operate the EV with just thumb controls on the steering wheel. shift traffic.

In terms of specifications, the Eas-E microcar uses a PMSM motor that generates 10 kW of power and 50 Nm of torque, giving it a top speed of up to 70 kmph. PMV Electric will sell the Eas-E in three battery pack options offering three range capacities: 120 km, 160 km and 200 km range. The EV has a standard charging time of 3 to 4 hours across all three variants. The company claims this EV will cost less than 75 pice per kilometer to drive. The battery pack is additionally waterproof rated IP67 and features a 48V lithium iron phosphate cell chemistry. The battery pack also serves as an integral structure. That is, it is constructed from chassis members for better structural rigidity.

Other convenience features such as a digital instrument panel and a small infotainment screen are also available on the Eas-E. In the safety department, PMV Electric provided the micro EV with a monocoque chassis made of high-strength sheet metal structure similar to that of large cars, unlike the tubular chassis used for micro cars in the international market. The EV also offers a single driver’s airbag in the front.

At the launch event, PMV Electric announced an introductory price of Rs 4.79 lakh for the first 10,000 customers of the base model. The higher range battery pack versions were priced at Rs 6.79 and Rs 7.79 lakh respectively. The company also announced that the Eas-E has received pre-orders of 6,000 units worldwide.
