Ola Electric has launched the ‘Gerua’ edition for the S1 and S1 Pro in the Indian market. In addition, the Ola S1 model comes in five new color options: Marshmallow, Millennial Pink, Anthracite Grey, Midnight Blue and Matte Black.
Ola Electric currently sells three electric scooters in Korea: S1, S1 Pro and S1 Air. The S1 Pro is launched in 2021 and comes with a price tag of Rs 1.40 lakh. Ola S1 is priced at Rs 1 lakh while S1 Air is an entry-level model at Rs 85,000.
Ola S1 is currently the best-selling electric scooter in Korea. In fact, the company sold 25,000 units of the S1 family in the month of December 2022. In 2022, the company reported sales of over 1.5 million units. The company introduced more than 100 new experience centers, released three software updates for electric scooters in one year, and delivered an over-the-air (OTA) rollout of MoveOS 3 to more than 100,000 customers.
With the MoveOS 3 update, the S1 electric scooter is now compatible with the brand’s Hypercharger network, which is spread across 27 states in India. Anshul Khandelwal, CMO of Ola Electric, said: “Ola tops the charts because it makes EVs customer-favorite, accessible and affordable. and making the Ola S1 available in all 11 color palettes makes the scooter a much more exciting proposition.”
The S1 Air is equipped with a hub-mounted 4.5kW electric motor that draws power from a smaller 2.5kWh battery pack. It is claimed to offer a range of 101 km, acceleration from 0 to 40 km in 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 90 km. The S1 model offers a 3 kWh battery pack and an 8.5 kW mid-mounted electric motor. 141 km/h, 0-40 km/h acceleration time is 3.8 seconds, top speed is 95 km/h. Both models offer three riding modes: Eco, Normal and Sport.
The top-spec Ola S1 Pro comes with a 4 kWh battery pack and 8.5 kW mid-mount motor. This variant claims a range of 181km on sngle charge. It is said to achieve 0-40 kmph in 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 116 kmph. It is available in four driving modes: Eco, Normal, Sport and Hyper.
