The new MG Hector will be launched by Diwali

Veteran automaker MG Motors is soon going to launch the Hector SUV in the facelift variant.

Now the company has released a teaser of the cabin of this SUV. The new infotainment system can be clearly seen in this.

At the same time, many changes can be made in its design and cabin. However, no changes will be made to its engine.

The company can launch it around Diwali.

How will the car look?

In terms of design, the upcoming MG Hector will get a large black trapezoidal grille, a silver skid plate, sleek LED headlights with DRLs and wrap-around LED taillamps.

It also gets a muscular bonnet, large air conditioner vents and a silver skid plate.

Explain that this car is equipped with features like ORVMs, blacked out be pillars, arrow cut design and 18-inch designer alloy wheels and has a wheelbase of 2750mm and ground clearance of 192mm.

There will be no change in the powertrain

Hector SUV is currently available with three engine options in the Indian market. First, it includes a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, which generates 141 hp of power and 250Nm of torque.

Second, it gets a 1.5-litre petrol-hybrid engine, which comes with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and the same output.

Thirdly, it also has a 2.0-litre diesel engine, which can produce 167hp of power and 350Nm of peak torque.

The cabin has also received updates

Along with five seats, more space has also been given in Hector’s cabin. It has a sunroof, auto climate control, leather seats and a power steering wheel.

The cabin is equipped with a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment panel with support for Bluetooth, Android Auto, ADAS technology and Apple CarPlay.

Keeping in mind the safety of the passengers, it has been given six airbags, rear view camera, ABS with EBD, crash sensor, tire pressure monitor and traction control.

What will be the cost of this car?

The price and availability of the new Hector in India will be announced at the time of its launch. However, it will be priced a bit premium over the current model, which starts at Rs 13.94 lakh and goes up to Rs 19.90 lakh.
