Design of Maruti WagonR Electric

The design and styling of the Maruti WagonR Electric is similar to the regular petrol-diesel model. However, some changes can be seen on its front end. The model gets a slimmer, redesigned grille and headlamps. Along with this, the front and rear bumpers have also been updated. At the same time, the fog lamp assembly in the front unit can also be replaced.

Features of Maruti WagonR Electric

The interior details of the new Maruti WagonR Electric are yet to be revealed. According to reports, it can be given an updated instrument cluster, new gear selector, new air-con controls and vertically stacked AC vents. However, its cabin layout and most of the features will be similar to the regular model.

Powertrain of Maruti WagonR Electric

Nothing specific has been revealed about the powertrain of the Electric WagonR yet. However, some reports say that it could be offered with a 72V electric drive and a 10.25kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It is expected that its driving range will go up to 180 km on full charge.

Launch of Maruti WagonR Electric

Maruti Suzuki has confirmed that its first electric car will be launched in 2025. For this, manufacturing will be done at Maruti’s Gujarat plant. However, the company has not yet confirmed anything regarding the India launch of the WagonR EV.

Let us tell you that Maruti Suzuki is preparing to set up two new manufacturing plants in Sonipat, Haryana. An investment of Rs 11,000 crore will be made in the beginning of this project. In this, the first manufacturing plant will be setup in 2025. The second plant will be setup after a year. Along with this, according to some reports, the carmaker has confirmed that the price of its first electric car will be more than Rs 10 lakh.
