Maruti Suzuki jimny 5-door unveiled finally! Look at photos and features, bookings open

Maruti Suzuki took the cover off India’s five-door Jimny at Auto Expo 2023. The automaker is currently taking SUV reservations for Rs 11,000. It’s available in two trims: the second trim, the Zeta, and the range-top Alpha.

What does it look like?

The model on display is finished in a shade called Kinetic Yellow. The most notable features of the five-door Jimny are the extended wheelbase and silver finish on the two additional doors and grille.

At the rear was a ‘Jimny’ badging and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. There were no major changes to the front or rear profile as Mark chose to retain the iconic look of the current generation Jimny. Maruti Suzuki comes in Sizzling Red, Bluish Black Roof, Kinetic Yellow, Granite Grey, NEXA Blue, and Bluish Black. , Pearl Arctic White, and seven color options were also released.

Details of the interior

The cabin looks pretty much the same as the three-door model, including an all-black theme with silver accents, and the only change is an upgraded 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay available.

Other notable equipment on board the off-roader includes cruise control, automatic LED headlights, automatic climate control, a reversing camera, electronic stability control (ESC) and up to six airbags.

Has a 4WD powertrain

Maruti Suzuki equipped the India-spec Jimny with a 1.5-litre petrol engine (105 PS and 134.2 Nm) with idle engine start/stop. With a ground clearance of 210mm, the off-roader gets all-wheel drive (4WD) with a low-ratio gearbox. The Jimny on display had a 5-speed manual. A four-speed automatic transmission option is also available.
