Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara to be launched on September 26
Maruti Suzuki introduced its Grand Vitara SUV last month. Now the launch date of this SUV has been revealed.
Maruti is going to launch this SUV in India on 26 September. This vehicle will get a 1.5-litre K15C dual-jet petrol engine with hybrid technology.
The Grand Vitara is offered in mild hybrid and strong hybrid trims. More than 55,000 units of this vehicle have been booked even before the launch.
How is the design of Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara?
In terms of design, the Grand Vitara closely resembles the new S-Cross sold in the international markets.
This includes a new dual-pod projector headlamp setup, new roof rails, new dual-tone front and rear bumpers and new wrap-around LED taillights.
Apart from this, the SUV also gets integrated LED, fog lights, black body cladding, new diamond-cut alloy wheels, blacked-out A, B, and C-pillars, rear wiper and washer.
Why is this Maruti car special?
Head-up display (HUD) has been given in Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. It is a small screen, which saves the driver’s attention from distraction while driving. Also this vehicle will come with 360 degree view camera.
The SUV has two driving modes, all-wheel drive (AWD) and 2-wheel drive. Customers can choose it as per their convenience. At the same time, it will also get Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
Powerful hybrid engine will be available in Grand Vitara
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will be launched in two trims Grand Vitara Mild-Hybrid and Intelligent Electric Hybrid. It is similar to Toyota’s Highrider model, which gets Neo Drive and Hybrid trims.
The mild-hybrid trim will be powered by a 1.5-litre K15C dual-jet petrol engine. It will generate 102bhp power and 137Nm torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.
Maruti is also using the same engine in its Ertiga and XL6 facelifts.
Grand Vitara’s cabin will be equipped with these features
The cabin of the car is equipped with the latest features. It has a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Also, it includes a 6-speaker Arkamis audio system, heads-up display, ambient lighting and ventilated front seats. The Grand Vitara is the first Maruti car to get a paranomic sunroof.
For safety, it includes features like multiple airbags, parking camera and sensors, anti-lock braking system (ABS), stability control, hill assist and EBD.
What will be the cost of this car?
financial express According to the report, Maruti will launch this SUV in a total of seven variants in September.
In the Indian market, the base Sigma model of this SUV can be launched for Rs 9.50 lakh, Delta Rs 11 lakh, Zeta Rs 12 lakh, Alpha 13.50 lakh and Alpha AWD for Rs 15.50 lakh.
Its strong-hybrid models Zeta Plus and Alpha Plus will be priced at Rs 17 and 18 lakhs respectively.
Let us know that this car has been launched in the Indian market to compete with Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta. There is no car in this segment that has a paranomic sunroof as big as the Grand Vitara.
