Over 55,000 units of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara have been booked
The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki has finally launched its Grand Vitara SUV in India.
The vehicle is powered by a 1.5-litre K15C dual-jet petrol engine with hybrid technology. This car has been launched in a total of six variants located in two trims Mild Hybrid and Strong Hybrid.
The car is offered in six monotone and three dual-tone color options.
How is the look of Grand Vitara?
In terms of design, the Grand Vitara closely resembles the new S-Cross sold in the international markets.
This includes a new dual-pod projector headlamp setup, new roof rails, new dual-tone front and rear bumpers and new wrap-around LED taillights.
Apart from this, the SUV also gets integrated LEDs, fog lights, black body cladding, new diamond-cut 17-inch alloy wheels, blacked-out A, B, and C-pillars, rear wiper and washer.
These features have to make the SUV more special
Head-up display (HUD) has been given in Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. It is a small screen, which saves the driver’s attention from distraction while driving. Along with this, 360 degree view camera has also been included in this vehicle.
The SUV has two driving modes, all-wheel drive (AWD) and 2-wheel drive. Customers can choose it as per their convenience. At the same time, it also has a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
Hybrid engine has been given in Grand Vitara
The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is powered by a four-cylinder 1.5-litre petrol engine with mild hybrid technology. This engine is capable of generating 103bhp power and 137Nm peak torque.
For transmission, the engine is mated to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox with a paddle shifter.
Along with this, four driving modes have been given Auto, Sports, Snow and Lock.
These features are given in the cabin of Grand Vitara
The cabin of the car is equipped with the latest features. It has a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Also, it includes a 6-speaker Arkamis audio system, heads-up display, ambient lighting and ventilated front seats. The Grand Vitara is the first Maruti car to get a paranomic sunroof.
For safety, it includes features like multiple airbags, parking camera and sensors, anti-lock braking system (ABS), stability control, hill assist and EBD.
The company will bring its electric vehicle in 2024
Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch many new electric vehicles in the country. The company will launch its first electric vehicle in 2024.
The company’s first vehicle will be a mid-size SUV, which is currently codenamed YY8. Maruti is making this car in collaboration with Toyota.
Its length is expected to be around 4.2 meters. The electric car will be built on the 27PL skateboard architecture, which will be derived from Toyota’s 40PL platform.
