Maruti Grand Vitara Prices Leaked Ahead of Launch

Maruti Suzuki, the number one car company of the Indian automobile market, has now come out with full preparation to dominate the SUV segment as well.

Maruti had introduced its new mid-size SUV Grand Vitara last week. The company has not yet announced any date for its official launch, but the prices of all its variants have already been leaked in media reports.

It has been claimed in this report that the starting price of the new Grand Vitara will be Rs 9.5 lakh ex-showroom. It will be launched in five mild-hybrid models and two intelligent electric hybrid (strong-hybrid) models.

This will be the prices of all its models
According to the report, Maruti will launch this SUV in September in a total of seven models, whose manual and automatic variants will be different. With this, customers will be able to choose their option easily.

The base model of this SUV will be available for Rs 9.50 lakh, Delta Rs 11 lakh, Zeta Rs 12 lakh, Alpha Rs 13.50 lakh and Alpha AWD for Rs 15.50 lakh.

Its strong-hybrid models Zeta Plus and Alpha Plus will be priced at Rs 17 and 18 lakhs respectively.

Vitara’s hybrid engine is on the lines of Toyota Highrider
The hybrid engine option of the Maruti Grand Vitara is similar to that of Toyota’s urban cruiser Highrider. The Highrider gets Neo Drive and Hybrid trims. This is because both Maruti and Toyota have made these cars together under a global partnership.

The mild-hybrid trim will be powered by a 1.5-litre K15C dual-jet petrol engine. It will generate power of 102bhp and torque of 137Nm. Transmission options include a five-speed manual and a six-speed automatic.

This SUV will replace the Maruti S-Cross
The exterior look of the Grand Vitara seems to be based on the design of the new S-Cross sold in the international markets. It is worth noting that Maruti is discontinuing the sale of the S-Cross in India for the new Vitara.

However, the company has given more great features than the S-Cross in it.

Some of the key highlights of the SUV include six-speaker Arkamis audio system, nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, heads-up display, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, etc.
