Grand Vitara and Urban Cruiser Highrider are built on Toyota’s TNGA-B platform
The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki is going to launch its Grand Vitara in the Indian market this month. At the same time, Toyota launched its Urban Cruiser Highrider in India last week.
Both these SUVs are rebadged versions of each other. The special thing is that both these vehicles are made on the same platform.

The Urban Cruiser Highrider and Grand Vitara are the C-segment SUVs available in India. Toyota has built these on its global TNGA-B platform. Both the vehicles get the biggest paranomic sunroof, which is not available in any car in this segment.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will be launched in two trims Grand Vitara Mild-Hybrid and Intelligent Electric Hybrid. At the same time, Toyota Highrider is available in Neo Drive and Hybrid trims.
Both the vehicles come with hybrid technology and get a 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine manufactured by Maruti. This engine is capable of generating 102bhp power and 137Nm torque.
For transmission, the option of manual and automatic gearbox is available in them.
Grand Vitara’s cabin is more premium
The features of both the vehicles are almost the same, but the cabin of the Grand Vitara looks a bit more premium.
The Highrider and Grand Vitara get a spacious cabin with modern features like 9-inch large touchscreen infotainment system, 360-degree camera, heads-up display (HUD), wireless charging, automatic climate control, electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats, electric sunroof Is.
