Mahindra’s new electric pickup
The country’s well-known company Mahindra & Mahindra is all set to bring many of its powerful electric vehicles in the market very soon.
The company made its first step in the electric vehicles (EVs) segment with the electric car e2o in the year 2013.
Mahindra had already announced a major offering in the EV space on August 15. Apart from this, the company is now also going to launch a new electric pickup in the market soon.
What was shown in the teaser?
The country giant had already announced its range of electric cars, but now Mahindra has released a teaser of the upcoming electric Bolero pickup on its official YouTube channel.
It has been released with the tagline “The Future of Pickup”. Along with this, no other information has been given in the teaser.
The company has also used the same blue color variant for this which is used in the Treo electric three wheeler.
This pickup will be similar to the ICE engine in load capacity and chassis
The design of this new pickup is expected to be a slight upgrade from the current diesel model and will come with blue elements to signify the electric.
It will also have the same load carrying capacity as the old model as it will have been designed for commercial use only.
Talking about the single charge capacity, it has been expected in media reports that it will be able to cover a distance of about 150 kilometers.
Upcoming Electric Cars
Mahindra’s electric vehicle plan
Mahindra & Mahindra is putting a lot of emphasis in the EV market these days. Their ‘Born EV’ range, which will be presented on August 15, remains a matter of discussion among the people.
Mahindra is going to introduce five cars under this, which have been designed in the United Kingdom by the ‘Mahindra Advance Design Europe’ (MADE) division.
In the teaser of these electric cars, the design of an SUV is similar to the company’s existing XUV700.
eXUV400 to arrive in September
Mahindra, in a statement last month, had talked about the arrival of the new electric XUV400 in India in September.
Recently it has also been spotted during testing on the roads. This car was first shown by the company at the 2020 Auto Expo.
In terms of design, it will be an electric variant of the XUV300. It will compete with the Tata Nexon EV in the market and the upcoming MG electric crossover.
