Lexus RX has been unveiled! Bookings open, Deliveries Begin In April 2023

Lexus is the only luxury car manufacturer to attend the 2023 Auto Expo. The company introduced the fifth generation Lexus RX with a completely new design language compared to the fourth generation model. Official reservations for the model have begun and deliveries are expected to begin in April 2023. It’s currently the world’s best-selling Lexus, and it’s sleeker, bigger and sportier in the new avatar.

The fifth-generation Lexus RX features an all-new spindle grille and sleeker full-LED headlamps for a more upright stance. A coupe-type rear quarter and full LED tail lamp were applied. The coupe-like roofline matches the steeply sloping rear windscreen. There are stylish LED tail lights with a light bar in the center.

The new Lexus RX is based on the TNGA-K platform. Compared to the 4th generation model, the wheelbase is longer and the weight is 90kg lighter. The wheelbase has increased by 60mm and the roofline has been reduced by 10mm. The signature black rear pillar has a three-dimensional effect, and a curved character line and large 21-inch wheels are applied to the side.

Like the new NX, the new Lexus RX is equipped with a larger 14-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. It comes with vegan leather instead of the usual leather cover. The cockpit is grouped with a multimedia screen, MID, single-dial meters, center gauges and HUD, allowing content to be read with minimal eye and head movement. It comes with a ‘Lexus Mood Selector’ feature that allows occupants to adjust the RX’s ambient lighting in a palette of 64 colors and 14 customizable themes.

The Lexus RX comes standard with new 21-speaker Mark Levinson premium surround sound audio. A digital panoramic view monitor and camera providing a real-time 360-degree view of a pre-recorded view under the vehicle. It is also equipped with an advanced park system that assists parking by automatically controlling steering shift operation and braking. It also comes with a number of ADAS features such as Lane Change Assist, Pre-Collision System with Active Steering Assist, Active Driving Assist, Lane Tracking Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring and more.

In India, the Lexus RX will be available in 350h and 500h F Sport variants, featuring a 247bhp, 2.5-liter petrol hybrid and a 361bhp, 2.4-liter turbo petrol engine respectively.
