The Urus is Lamborghini’s bestselling SUV
Lamborghini on Wednesday announced that the company has completed the delivery of 200 units of Urus in India. This figure of this SUV in the country accounts for about 50 percent of the total sales of the Lamborghini brand.
The Italian supercar maker crossed this milestone in less than four years, despite a semiconductor shortage due to restrictions imposed by the global pandemic.
Lamborghini Urus is the company’s bestselling car
Lamborghini launched the Urus in front of the world in the year 2017 and in the year 2018, the company brought it to India.
This car has proved to be the best selling for the company in India as well as in the worldwide markets. It is worth noting that Lamborghini does not produce cars in India and it imports and sells its cars here.
According to the company, 80 percent of Urus buyers in India are first-time Lamborghini customers.
How is the look of this SUV?
The Lamborghini Urus gets a sloping roof, muscular bonnet, raked windscreen, slim grille, wide air dam and LED headlights with integrated DRL.
The SUV gets ORVMs with turn indicators on the sides, black painted door pillars, flared wheels with black cladding at the bottom and 21-inch alloy wheels.
At the rear of the car, LED taillamps, a shark-fin antenna and a diffuser add to the attractive look of the car.

The Lamborghini Urus is powered by a BS6-compliant 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that generates 641bhp of power and 850Nm of torque.
It gets an 8-speed automatic gearbox. This car accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 305 kmph.
Urus also holds the record for running at a speed of 298 kilometers per hour on an icy road.
What is the price of this Lamborghini in India?
The ex-showroom price of Lamborghini Urus starts at Rs 3.15 Cr for its base variant V8. The ex-showroom price of its top-of-the-line Pearl Capsule Edition has been kept at Rs 3.43 crore.

There are reports that the company is also working on an electric variant of the Urus. It can be launched in 2027 or 2028. In fact, luxury car maker Lamborghini has decided to electrify its entire range of cars by 2028.
