Honda Activa Premium Edition launched

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched a premium edition of its best selling scooter Activa. The company had announced its arrival in the market just a few days ago through a poster.

Honda has priced this new variant more than the existing DLX variant. The company has revealed its price through its official website. This is a new top-end variant in the same specs of the Activa 6G.

Here are the new changes in this scooter

Honda has not made any major changes in this new premium variant. However, every effort has been made by the company to make this scooter attractive, for this it has been upgraded with a new color option.

It also gets gold colored wheels along with the front indicators, company logo and badging of the Activa in a golden colour. Apart from these, its chrome garnish is also now coated in golden color.

New Activa premium variant launched in three colors

Honda Activa Premium Edition has been brought in three color options. These include Matt Marshall Green Metallic, Matt Sangria Red Metallic and Pearl Siren Blue. The above golden colored design elements will be found with all these three colours.

All these upgrades give the scooter an up-market look.

The company has not made any changes in its hardware, engine specifications and features. In this too the same analog instrument cluster is seen.

The new scooter has an engine with the existing 6G variant

The company’s tried-and-tested 109.51cc fan-cooled single cylinder engine is also available in its premium edition. It can generate maximum power of 7.68bhp at 8,000rpm and maximum torque of 8.84Nm at 5,500rpm.

Like the 6G, this engine also gets fuel injection and ESP technology, which helps it in silent start.

This edition also gets the same tubeless tires and steel rims. It has a petrol tank of 5.3 liters.

What is the price of the new Activa Premium Edition?

Talking about the price, it is more than Rs 3,000 more expensive than the current Activa 6G. The ex-showroom price of Activa 6G is Rs 72,400 for the standard variant and Rs 74,400 for the deluxe variant.

At the same time, the ex-showroom price of the new Activa Premium Edition has been kept at Rs 75,400.

According to the company, this scooter gives a mileage of 55 kilometers per liter and its top speed is 85 kilometers per hour.

Recently, HMSI President Atsushi Ogata said in an interview that Honda is all set to enter the electric segment. The company may come out with an EV product within the next financial year.
