New Honda Dio Limited Edition Launched
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) on Wednesday launched a new model of its Dio scooter. This new scooter has been launched in limited edition under the name Honda Dio Sports.
It will be available in two different color options, which are Strontium Silver Metallic with Black and Black as well as Sports Red.
It can be booked through the company’s official website or through Honda Redwing dealerships.
Funky style graphics have been used in this scooter
The Honda Dio Sports has been given a casing of showy graphics with a very sporting style. Both the standard and deluxe variants have been given red colored suspension on the rear wheel, which looks quite attractive.
Rest of the basic design and other mechanical parts of the scooter have been kept the same as the current normal model. Sporty alloy wheels are available in its deluxe variant.
Single cylinder engine is available in this scooter
Powering the Honda Dio Sports is a 109.51cc single cylinder PGM-Fl engine, which is with the updated Smart Power technology eSP. It can make 7.65bhp power and 9Nm torque.
The scooter gets telescopic suspension, integrated dual function switch, fuel tank lid on the outside and side stand indicator with engine cut-off for safety.
Apart from these features, the Dio gets Honda’s Combi-Brake System (CBS).
Honda Dio continues to enthrall the youth
Commenting on the launch of the scooter, Atsushi Ogata, Managing Director and CEO, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India said that since its inception, the Dio range of scooters has created a buzz among the youth.
He further added, “The Dio Sports looks youthful and stylish in the new color options. We are confident that this Limited Edition with its sporty vibe and trendy look will further enthrall our customers, especially the younger generation”.
What is the price of the new scooter launched?
The ex-showroom price of the standard variant of the new Honda Dio Sports Limited Edition is Rs 68,317 and its deluxe variant has been priced at Rs 73,317. Honda has registered a growth of 15.07 percent in two wheeler sales in July.
