Google launches ‘India ki Udaan’ project, students up to class 10 will be able to participate

Google’s New Project: Summing up the significant achievements made in India’s 75-year journey of independence, Google has launched an online project, which tells the story of the country through rich archives and artistic illustrations. The project ‘India Ki Udaan’ launched by ‘Google Arts and Culture’ celebrates the achievements of the country and is based on ‘India’s undying and immortal spirit over these 75 years’.

Tourism Minister Kishan Reddy inaugurated the event

It was officially launched by the Union Minister of Culture and Tourism G Kishan Reddy and senior officials of the Ministry of Culture and Google on Friday at a function organized at Sundar Nursery in Delhi. As a mark of celebration of the 75th anniversary of independence across the country, Google has supported the government’s one-year-long ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ program to ‘enhance access to informational online content and help India’s progress since 1947, and for Indians. Doodle 4 Google Contest Announced

The company also announced its popular Doodle 4 Google contest for 2022, with the theme ‘In the next 25 years my India will be…’. Students from class 1st to 10th can participate in this. Reddy said that Google can help the Ministry of Culture in preparing a digital map of the boundaries of over 3,000 centrally protected monuments, which will help in better monitoring of these sites. He said that the new rare archives can also prove to be effective in digitization of material.
