The Japanese automaker has confirmed that the next-generation Honda WR-V will make a global debut on November 2, 2022. As you know, this compact SUV was first presented as the Honda RS Concept at the 2021 GIIAS (Indonesia Motor Show). There is no official announcement of an arrival in India, but it is reported that the model will reach our lands sometime in 2023. Rumor has it that the 2023 Honda WR-V could be on display at the Delhi Auto Expo in January. The Indian spec model shares a platform with the Amaze subcompact sedan.
A fresh teaser image shows the side profile of the new Honda SUV with a crossover-like stance. You’ll also find LED headlamps with LED DRLs, distinct hood, bi-color ORVM, roof rails and taillamps. According to previously leaked images, the new 2023 Honda WR-V has an existing grille with chrome stud RS treatment, as seen on the new HR-V RS. The headlamp design will be completely different from the concept. The new Honda SUV gets a bumper integrated fog light assembly, wider air dams and plate-style trim with three notches.
In terms of features, the new WR-V will offer more. The new 2023 Honda WR-V will likely come with a touchscreen infotainment system with connected car features, ambient lighting, leather upholstery, semi-digital instrument cluster and more.
Official engine specifications for the new WR-V have not yet been released. However, it is reported to be offered with gasoline, gasoline hybrid and diesel powertrains in the global market. In India, the new 2023 Honda WR-V will likely be offered with a 1.5L i-VTEC petrol motor and two gearbox options: a six-speed manual and a CVT automatic. The petrol unit delivers 121PS of power and 145Nm of torque. Here the subcompact SUV is not available with the diesel engine option.
